Snow King Resort guestrooms enjoy beautiful views of the Grand Tetons and the surrounding mountains. All of Snow King Resort's rooms were totally renovated in 1999 with an eye towards cozy, comfortable western design. New, extra-thick mattresses raised 26" off the floor, with white duvet covers and up to 10 luxurious pillows per bed. Old Hickory seating, woven fabrics, lodge pole headboards and writing desks, custom-made, wrought iron tiffany style bedside lamps and craftsman style desk lamps with stenciled oiled paper shades. Locally crafted armoires of alder wood and hold brand new 27" color televisions with remotes and cable service. Custom framed full-length mirrors, thick, absorbent towels and log vanity lights set off the bathrooms with tiled floors, hairdryers and bath amenities including lotion and shampoo. Custom pine and alder moldings frame the all-wood valences above richly striped, moiré drapes. The professionally framed photographs on the walls reflect both a sense of history in the sepia tone reproductions of antique local photographs and a contemporary style with color photos by local photographers.
Snow King Resort colors reflect Jackson Hole Wyoming with warm, natural tones picking up the burgundies and mauves of lichens and turning leaves, browns of the trees, grays of the Grand Teton granite and rock, pale sage greens and golds of the grasses and brush that cover the Jackson Hole valley floor below Snow King Resort.
All Snow King Resort guestrooms have coffee makers, individually controlled heating and air conditioning units, direct-dial telephones with data ports and voicemail, electronic door locks. Irons, ironing boards, extra pillows, blankets and towels are available. Some rooms have balconies and all rooms have operable windows that can be opened to the cool, clean, mountain air.
The redesign of Snow King Resort was developed in association with the design firm of Mitch Thompson and Associates. |
